About Spectral Illusions
Spectral Illusions is a digital content creation company specializing in animation and visual effects for film, projection mapping, video illusions, and virtual reality experiences. Founded in 2012 by Director Rob Ostir and Producer Kerry McCarn-Ostir, Spectral Illusions initial content was a line of high quality video illusions for the haunted attraction industry. In 2015, we added Virtual Reality Experiences to our repertoire. We have since released 4 titles and are in production on our fifth. Additionally, we have created custom videos for a variety of clients including Paintscaping.com, Pleasurewood Hills theme park, Garner Holt Productions, Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group and the resulting products have been seen worldwide. Our services include Full Service Production for projection mapping, theme park and attraction design, video production, virtual reality production, and consultation on all manner of projects, large and small.
Our Crew
Our Director, Rob Ostir, has over 25 years experience in Visual Effects and Previsualization on over 30 feature films including Mars Attacks, Tron: Legacy, and Alice Through the Looking Glass before branching out on his own with Spectral Illusions.
Our Producer, Ellen “Kerry” McCarn-Ostir, has over 20 years of experience in the Production and Camera Departments, working primarily on commercials and independent films before becoming a producer for Spectral Illusions.
